An Electronic Artist

Who is Jean Michel Jarre? He's an electronic musician and performer. He was born in Lyon, France on 24th August, 1948. His father was the musician Maurice Jarre and his mihter was France Pejót.

He started a band called "The Dubstins" when he was 24 years old, and he was part of Pierre Schaeffer's musical group.

His first works were soundtracks: "Deserted palace" and "the Burnt Barns", and some songs and experimental tracks like "La Cage", "Erosmachine", "Popcorn", etc.

But his first official album was recorded in 1976, and it was called "Oxygene". It was an amazing success in France, gave him 6 golden discs in Europe and then in the rest of the world. Then, in 1978 he released his second album "Equinoxe"

and also it was a success.
